Are meals and drinks included?

Three meals a day, non-alcoholic beverages, and snacks are included. A modestly priced full bar will be open throughout the week that includes a great selection.

 

I’m taking the bus, which one should I take?

  • Arrival: 3:51pm in Big Indian. There is no shuttle service for any other arrival times or locations.

  • Departure: A shuttle will depart Full Moon Resort at 9:10am on Friday. Please book the bus departing Big Indian, NY at 9:36am. There is no shuttle service for any other departure times or locations.

What gear do I need?

Bring your instrument(s) if they fit! Amps, drums, and keyboards are not required.

 

Can I still come if I’m not a musician?

Non-musicians are more than welcome… and encouraged to attend!

 

What skill level is required to attend?

Programming is developed to accommodate all ranges of playing. All workshops are optional and open to everyone.

 

What if I need to cancel?

Due to the extensive planning and limited capacity, our events have a strict non-refundable policy. If you are unable to attend, you may sell or transfer your ticket to someone else. The original ticket buyer will need to notify us of the change and provide contact information for the new ticket holder in advance of their arrival. We strongly suggest purchasing travel/trip insurance.

Is there an age requirement?

This event is designed for participants 18 years or older. The host facility, Full Moon Resort, does not permit minors without a legal guardian or other adult chaperone. If you are an adult attempting to register a minor or if you are a minor attempting to register, you must call Music Masters Collective for further details and to make appropriate arrangements: (845) 254-8009

 

If I want to bring my partner, but they don’t want to attend workshops, can I?

It depends on the event. Some events do allow non-participants, in that case, you would need to purchase a private room (single occupancy) ticket. Non-participants have access to all meals, but no classes or workshops. Additional fees apply. What are the lodging options?

Full Moon Resort offers an eclectic array of accommodations from simple B&B style rooms to luxury cottages with panoramic views of the Catskill Mountains. To view the options, please visit:

Can I select my own roommate?

Yes – if that person is also registered. We cannot hold a spot for someone unless they are registered. Roommates must select the same package and indicate each other as roommate preference on their registration form.

 

How does the facility select my roommate?

Music Masters Collective selects roommates based on age and gender identity.

 

When is check in and check out?

Check in is at 3pm on arrival day and check out is at 11am on departure day. Due to Full Moon’s busy event calendar, it is not possible to check in early or check out late.

 

Is there cell phone reception at camp?

There is no cell phone reception at Full Moon Resort or in Big Indian, NY.  There is excellent wi-fi throughout the facility as well as a complimentary landline telephone located in the library. iMessages, Skype, FaceTime, FB/IG Messenger all work well in place of a cellular network.

 

Is there internet at Full Moon Resort?

Complimentary wi-fi is available throughout the facility.

 

Will my food allergies/dietary restrictions be accommodated?

Yes – please indicate your dietary restrictions on your registration form. The Executive Chef will prepare a menu that accommodates everyone, at every meal. If you are kosher, please contact us at contact@masterscollective.org or (845) 254-8009 to make proper arrangements.

 

What should I expect the weather to be like?

Weather in the Catskills varies. In the summer months, you can expect warm days (low 70s to upper 80s) and cooler nights (lower 50s to upper 60s).  Click here for updated weather information.

 

What do you suggest I bring with me?

Instrument(s)

Personal equipment like tuners, extra strings, drum sticks, pedals, etc. (backline is provided)

Can I bring a camper or RV?

Yes! You can purchase a camping ticket and park your camper in the camping area. There are no hook ups or electricity provided. Showers and restrooms are located close to the camping area.

 

Do you provide equipment storage for tent campers?

This can be arranged on an as needed basis.

 

Can I take photos, video, or audio recordings?

Yes. You are required to e-sign and accept a waiver stating all recordings, footage and/or photos will be used strictly for personal use and not commercially. Instructors may request specific workshops or performances not be recorded.

 

Are there scholarships available?

Yes! We are very pleased to be able to offer a limited number of scholarships. Please keep in mind there are limited funds available and we hope to be able to disperse them to as many people as possible. Where can I smoke?

Smoking is not permitted indoors anywhere. Please be mindful of other guests and do not smoke near windows, building entrances or on porches. Designated smoking areas are available throughout the facility.

 

May I send things to the venue in advance of the event?

Guests may not send packages in advance. Full Moon Resort will refuse deliveries made for guests who are not currently on-site.

 

Can I bring my own alcohol?

Yes, however, it can only be consumed in your private accommodation. Outside alcohol is not permitted in any of the common areas due to liquor license limitations.

 

What if I get hungry/thirsty in between meals?

Complimentary coffee, tea, non-alcoholic beverages and light snacks are available 24/7 in the Cafe.

NOTES: 

HOUSEKEEPING is not provided daily. A room ‘refresher’ (towels and garbage) will take place on Wednesday (for Monday-Friday events) or Thursday (for Tuesday-Friday events). Please notify the Front Desk if you do not want this service before 10am the day of the service. You may request trash removal or towels at the Front Desk at any time.

TELEPHONE: Complimentary local/long distance calls are available on the guest phone in the Library (there are no telephones in rooms and no cell phone reception in this area of the Forest Preserve). There is excellent wi-fi throughout the facility as well as a complimentary landline telephone located in the library. iMessages, Skype, FaceTime, FB/IG Messenger all work well in place of a cellular network.

INTERNET: Public Computer is in the Lobby; Hi-speed WiFi is located in every building, covering the facility.

WEATHER: Please check the weather in Big Indian prior to your arrival and be sure to bring appropriate attire.

If you plan on bringing you own gear: You are welcome to bring your own instruments and set them up in the jam rooms. Please note, however, that you if you leave your instrument(s) in a jam room, you will need to be comfortable with other participants using it. We suggest that you bring your equipment back to your room after using it.
